Luna was born on 11 December 2024. She is the youngest member of the herd and the second daughter of Mae Boon Sri. Her arrival came as a complete surprise when she was discovered quietly nestled beside her mother deep in the Northern Thai jungle – born naturally, peacefully, and completely free. Unlike many elephants born into tourism, Luna entered the world untouched by chains, performances, or human control, surrounded only by the sounds of the forest and the protection of her family.
Curious, playful, and already full of personality, Luna is growing up exactly as a young elephant should – exploring the jungle, staying close to her mother, and learning from the herd around her. Her story is a beautiful reminder of what’s possible when elephants are given the freedom to live naturally!
