Observation Only

We believe elephants should live freely in their natural jungle habitat. Our hands-off elephant tours in Chiang Mai are 100% observation only – no riding, no touching, no bathing – just respectful, observation-based tours, where the elephants’ well-being comes first.

Support Local

We work hand in hand with the local Karen communities, to ensure dignified work and support for everyone involved. A portion of our profits is also donated to local charities, helping protect wildlife and uplift communities in need.

Our Reviews

What Our Guests Say

Meet Our Herds

The Karen communities we partner with have cared for elephants for generations. In the past, many relied on elephants for logging and tourism, but growing awareness of animal welfare led them to seek more ethical alternatives.

The elephants at Elephant Eco Trails were brought back to the jungle over a decade ago, where they now live freely – roaming, foraging, and socialising in the forests of Northern Thailand, supported by ethical tourism that benefits both the local communities and elephant welfare.
